Also referred to as Pinehead Oats, Irish or Scottish oats, Steel cut Oats are the most coarsly processed of all Oat kinds. They are made by chopping the whole oat groat into several pieces, rather than rolled. Steel Cut Oats resemble rice in its shape. Oat Meal with Exotic Vegetables
Take two-third teaspoon of Olive Oil in a cooker, one-third teaspoon cumin seeds and roast. Put one-third cup of steel cut oats into it and roast until the color of Oats changes to light brown. Put chopped vegetables*, salt, pepper and other spice mix according to your taste. Squeeze half lemon juice into it. Put 2 bowls of water into the cooker and close the lid. Cook until two whistles nd lower flame afterwards. Heat further until two minutes. Wait for the pressure to be released. Open the lid. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot. *As per your choice. Suggested vegetables which add to your taste are Yellow and Red bell peppers, Zucchini, Broccoli, etc.
